Isolation Within Bipolar Disorder

I want it quiet. I want to hear my heart beating in my chest. I want to hear the rafters in the house creak as the wind blows, settling the house into the ground. I want to feel the dense summer air flow in my open window and across my body, whilst I lie in bed and self pity. I want to lie perfectly still, whilst the world moves in slow motion around me. I don’t want to see another soul. I don’t want to feel the earth beneath my feet. I just want to lie here.
